Weyerhaeuser Distribution Operations Business Analyst in Jacksonville, Florida

Weyerhaeuser’s Wood Products Distribution Organization is seeking an Operation Business Analyst. This role is responsible for supporting our distribution operations team to safely and efficiently deliver our value proposition. The position reports to the National Operations Director for Wood Products Distribution. The person in this role will need to travel up to 50% to the distribution centers across the US.

*Accountabilities: *

  • Strong advocate for safety within the team and throughout the operation for the distribution centers.
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal safety statutes, and Weyerhaeuser resource.
  • Work directly with site leadership to develop and maintain a 5-year rolling capital plan for lift replacement strategy.
  • Understand all CARB regulations that apply to our California DC's, ensure compliance to emission targets and file annual reports for both Off-Road Diesel and LSI fleets.
  • Work with operations managers to ensure they are trained and able to use the new technology efficiently.
  • Understand critical business processes: cycle count, IRA, inbound deliveries, outbound shipments, yard/warehouse layout concepts, waste, SAP Bin management.
  • Ability to pull data from SAP and other sources (Snowflake, etc.) that include operations transactions, financial, sales, procurement, etc. and produce accurate data reports and models.
  • Present and explain data/analytics that can be understood by cross-functional groups across our business to support improvement decisions. This includes using tools like Excel, Maptitude or other data mapping software, etc.
  • Working knowledge of forklift equipment, configurations, maintenance
  • The ability to position yourself as a trusted advisor by demonstrating expertise and providing valuable insights on operations matters. Be proactive in offering operations solutions that address operation issues.

  • High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree, strongly preferred
  • 10 years of experience with at least 5 years in finance or Distribution operations
  • Based near a Weyerhaeuser Distribution Center or near a major international airport
  • Ability to travel up to 50%

  • Understand relationship between all 5S stakeholder teams.
  • Ability to listen, seek to understand, respect everyone's input to ensure the best decisions.
  • Ability to lead/facilitate group projects/events.
  • Solid background in P/L, G/L, capital, asset accounting
  • Key role in OpX development, target setting, and reporting.
  • Key role in Gainshare program development, target setting, and reporting.
  • Ensure the current business monthly and weekly dashboard and other reports are available on a timely basis as they are key to daily business decisions.
  • Support major projects, new sites, closing sites, mid to long term mentoring of challenged sites leadership.
  • Ability to visit sites and assess their current situations, provide coaching/support to drive improvement in areas with issues.

Compensation:This role is eligible for our annual merit-increase program, and we are targeting a salary range of $104,000 - $156,000 based on your level of skills, qualifications and experience. You will also be eligible for our Annual Incentive Program, which offers a cash bonus targeting 15% of base pay. Potential plan funding may range from zero to two times that target.

Retirement:Employees are able to enroll in our company’s 401k plan, which includes a paid company match in addition to our annual contribution equal to 5% of your base salary.

Paid Time Off or Vacation:We provide eligible employees who are scheduled to work 25 hours or more per week with 3-weeks of paid vacation to use during your first year of employment. In addition, after being employed for six months, eligible employees begin to accrue vacation for future use. We also recognize eleven paid holidays per year, providing a total of 88 holiday hours
