Engineering Technician 5

KBR is seeking a Senior Engineer Technician (Engineering Technician 5) to function as a member of the Area Control Systems onsite technical support team in Jacksonville, FL. This is an SCA position.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Troubleshoot field equipment failures for ACS equipment.

  • Documentation of maintenance and troubleshooting procedures.

  • Responsible for the performance of preventative maintenance and troubleshooting or assessment of ACS equipment.

  • Responsible for test and evaluation, training installation, and logistic support for ACS branch and other designated systems, subsystems, and components associated with air traffic control and airspace management systems.

    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

    Citizenship & Clearance: Must hold a Secret Clearance OR able to obtain and maintain Secret security clearance. Must be a US Citizen.

Certification: CompTIA Security+ certification, or ability to obtain within six months of employment.

Education: High School Diploma.

Experience: Experience may be concurrent.

  • At least fourteen (14) years of practical experience in electronics or engineering technology.

  • Eight (8) years of experience, to include: installation of equipment.

  • Four (4) years of experience, to include: design, preparation and modification of engineering documents, and drawings.

  • Microsoft Office products proficiency.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience in automated ATC surveillance systems

  • Experience FACSFAC/IRSS

  • Familiarity with Navy FACTS, STARS, or the Marine Corp IRSS platforms

    This is an SCA position. SCA Rate: $32.20/HR.

    Work shift: Nonstandard work shift, evening or night shift and weekend work will be required.
