Job Summary and Qualifications
The position of Supervisor will act as the point of contact for their area to the Food & Nutrition Managers and Director. This position assumes all responsibilities of the activities within their area.
Must be able to perform the clinical, technical, and administrative aspects of the job for their specific area.
Ensures appropriate staffing based on the patient/work load for their area.
Enforces the attendance and tardy policies and reports any discrepancies.
Supervises staff in a fair and unbiased manner.
Responsible for maintaining good order and discipline in the workplace.
Creates and maintains appropriate work and call schedules (when applicable).
Orders and maintains supplies for their area.
Ensures all equipment is operational and if not takes immediate and appropriate corrective actions to maintain operations.
Ensures proper QA and QC procedures are performed.
Enforces all policies and procedures specific to their modality.
Checks for all HACCP requirements and ensures all temperature checks (dish machine, food items temp logs) are complete and accurate.
Ensures all sanitation and cleanliness is maintained.
Ensures highest standard of customer service is practiced by staff.
Holds regularly scheduled staff meetings and conducts in-service training (as required / appropriate) within their area.
What qualifications you will need:
High School Diploma or GED
ServSafe certification preferred
1-2 years Supervisory experience preferred, especially within Food Services Industry
Food Services experience in healthcare facility preferred.
