Responsibilities

Collaborates with Administration, the BMT Program Director, BMT Medical Directors, Medical Staff and Departmental Leadership at Nemours, Mayo Clinic and Wolfson Children’s Hospital to prepare entities to meet the accreditation standards set forth by the Foundation for the Accreditation of Cellular Therapy (FACT). The BMT Program and Accreditation Manager functions as the coordinator of the BMT Quality Management Committee and facilitates and supports all quality management activities. The BMT Program and Accreditation Manager works closely with colleagues at each location to assure that these activities are coordinated and executed efficiently. This includes the development, maintenance and dissemination of policies and procedures for the Blood and Marrow Transplantation Program of Mayo Clinic, Nemours Children’s Clinic, and Wolfson Children’s Hospital. This position also serves as a resource for the enterprises of Nemours Children’s Clinic and Mayo Clinic for FACT accreditation readiness and policy convergence. Another important function of this position is to function as the Primary Data Manager for the Center for International Blood and Marrow Transplant Research (CIBMTR), which includes completion and oversight of the data managers at each site in the timely and accurate submission of data to third parties, the maintenance of patient databases and the training of all data management staff. Maintains regular and ongoing interaction with the BMT program staff at Mayo Clinic, Wolfson Children’s Hospital and Nemours to facilitate management of the BMT program. Maintains a physical presence at both the Adult campus (Mayo Clinic) and Pediatric campus (Nemours and Wolfson). A workspace will be provided at Mayo Clinic and Nemours for the BMT Program and Accreditation Manager. Will travel to off-site satellite locations for meetings.

Qualifications

Bachelor's, RN, or 3-5 years of applicable experience in relevant field required. Must have considerable understanding of the practices and processes Blood and Marrow Transplant. Is knowledgeable about monitoring techniques including but not limited to: * Tracer methodology * File audits * Abstracting medical record audits. Remains abreast of current, new, and developing industry trends, regulations, and legal positions related to. Possesses strong human relations skills and problem solving skills in order to influence all levels of the organization toward regulatory and accreditation compliance. Possesses strong written and verbal communication skills. Works independently with minimal direction and is self-motivated.

Bone marrow data reporting experience preferred.
