Your role at Baxter:

This individual will be a key player with responsibility for building and completing communications strategies for the Solutions Plants - Alliston, Aibonito, Jayuya, Cali & Sao Paulo. The incumbent will support the execution of employee communications strategies by crafting communications products and content (articles, blogs, videos, newsletters, presentations), crafting brand awareness programs, and collecting feedback from employees/partners for continuous improvement.

What you'll be doing

Ensure consistent messaging across all communications channels, effectively balancing multiple tasks and priorities.

Own and run communications channels through which general updates and messages are shared with the site including but not limited to:

  • Maintenance-related closures
  • Updates to the facility
  • Success stories
  • Safety incidents
  • Policy updates
  • Corporate executive site visits
  • Overtime notices
  • General focus areas (weekly)
  • Culture survey results (weekly)
  • Site performance overviews (weekly)
  • Monthly newsletter
  • Planned maintenance scheduling
  • Pay, benefits and other notices
  • Training updates

Collaborate with IT to build and maintain the internal page

  • Own communications and culture webpage
  • Compile information for other departmental sites

Manage messaging portals:

  • Email messages cascaded through Tier meetings
  • Flat screen TV content
  • Communication whiteboards
  • Posters and general signage
  • Weekly communication packets
  • 4 polling-kiosks

Participate SLT meeting

  • Communicate key takeaways to collaborator groups through appropriate mechanisms e.g. weekly Plant Manager message

Develop/Prepare site-wide presentations including Town Hall and People Leaders meetings

Track site-performance metrics and disseminate in a form and through using channels that enable understanding; as well as build engagement.

What you'll bring

  • University Degree or equivalent experience or college Diploma in Marketing or Communications
  • 5-6 years of dynamic experience in the communications field
  • Graphic design and layout experience with Photoshop and InDesign
  • Leadership
  • Good time management/organizational skills
  • Strong writing, editing and verbal communication skills
  • Strong communication skills and a positive attitude are needed to work with all levels of the organization.
  • Strong ability to balance multiple priorities with excellent time management skills.
  • High level of proficiency in MS Office
  • Efficiently partner with others to identify and resolve problems.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills and critical thinking abilities.
