Job Summary
As the Conference Services Manager at a premier corporate account in Jersey City, you are responsible for the successful operations of the conference center. You will plan, coordinate, and support set up and service of all rooms and scheduled events. This position requires outstanding personnel skills, organization and time management skills.
This position is Monday through Friday and requires flexibility of hours generally between 8am and 5pm, but occasionally extending past 5pm.
Key Responsibilities:
Handle meeting room bookings utilizing the reservation system and focusing on the strategic assignment of meeting space to maximize utilization.
Answer and direct switchboard calls. Manage message receipt and delivery process.
Manage and maintain all conference center, training and meeting materials.
Handle on-floor conference room activities.
Communicate requests to the appropriate internal support departments; building maintenance, IT, audiovisual and mailroom.
Understand and be prepared to carry out emergency procedures.
Adhere to dress code as designated by the client.
Ensure every guest receives outstanding hospitality.
Act as a wayfinder and resource for all guests.
Provide support for catering services, as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
3 years of experience in a related role or industry
Superior communication and problem-solving/strategizing skills
Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and various scheduling programs
Punctual, dependable and dedicated
Proactive mindset to anticipate and support business needs
Conformity to the highest standards of personal integrity and ethical behavior
