Tioga State Bank Customer Service Representative (Teller) in Johnson City, New York

Services customers through various teller transactions. Provides customer service to retain and grow customer relationships. Cross-sells products and services and identifies business opportunities for referrals to appropriate personnel. <P>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/MAJOR DUTIES: <LI> Services customers through various teller transactions including, cashing checks, processing deposits and accepting various payments <LI> Sells treasurers' checks, money orders, etc. <LI> Provides customer service to retain and grow customer relationships by acknowledging and greeting customers in a friendly and courteous manner <LI> Responds to and follows through on customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner <LI> Identifies customer products and service needs to enhance customer relationships while achieving the Bank's financial goals by actively participating in all sales promotions <LI> Identifies business opportunities and refers customers to appropriate personnel including Investment Services, Commercial Loans, Mortgage Originators and Consumer Loans <LI> Maintains an accurate cash drawer in accordance with balancing and cash handling standards <LI> Produces accurate work documentation impacting other internal departments as well as external customers <LI> Balances the vault and ATM machine(s)

<P>DUTIES SUPPORTING ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: <LI> Maintains a thorough knowledge of the features and benefits of all bank consumer products and services <LI> Maintains a knowledge of and adheres to all policies, procedures and regulations that govern the retail banking function <LI> Maintains a working knowledge of all applicable software, systems and equipment <LI> Participates as necessary to ensure that the offices' daily responsibilities are met <LI> Ensures supplies are replenished in a timely manner <LI> Promotes a positive team environment by exhibiting the Bank's Core Values <LI> Performs other duties as assigned
