TEKsystems Linux Engineer in Johnson City, Tennessee
Description:
The client has an open position to fill looking for a level linux engineer that is comfortable wearing multiple hats and doing alot of different things. The client lost a 50 year employee of the organization and they would like to replace that position with someone very strong in the linux red hat space. This person will be responsible for things such as backups, patching, scripting, storage migrations, and code upgrades. Some additional responsibilities may include but are not limited to working with analyst regarding the backend Iris data base, working with ansible, grafana, disaster recovery, XIO, powerstore, SAN, windows server support, Dell EMC storage, rail upgrades, and maintenance. Some projects they have on the roadmap include but are not limited to hardware replacement, migrations, linux system upgrades and evaluations, patching, upgrading and evaluating there ansible and grafana environemnt, code upgrades, OS migrations.

Would like to find someone within a somewhat close proximity geographically if possible. The preference would be to find someone in EST, TN, VA, NC, SC, GA. Good communication skills as this team works cross functionally across the organization to collaborate with the other teams in IT. Everything that happens in there environment for the most part comes through this team.
