Job Summary

The Jr Team Leader is responsible to assist Team Leaders/ Group Leaders to achieve the People, Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cash and Cost (PSQDCC) targets through the disciplined and rigorous deployment of the Lean Operating Model in his Cell / Area.

The Jr Team Leader is responsible to provide support to the Team Leaders/ Group Leaders in creating a ‘Great Place To Work’ through developing and empowering first class Team Members and driving a culture of continuous improvement, safe working and open dialogue.

The Jr. Team Leader still need to produce output for production, based on the planned tasks by Team Leaders/ Group Leaders.

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist Sr. Team Leaders to manage the Cell / Area and drive the team members to achieve the production targets / KPIs (PSQDCC).

  • Leading and developing team members to understand the context, mechanics and the delivery of PSQDCC targets to meet customer and stakeholder commitments

  • To provide the support on production work based on the tasks planned by Team Leaders/ Group Leaders

  • Mentors/provides guidance assistance and training to Technicians in the Cell / Area.

  • Work closely with Sr. Team Leader in appraising and managing individuals’ performance whilst supporting and coaching individuals to close performance gaps.

  • Contributing to the Value Stream future state design, and ensuring its execution across their assigned areas.

  • Cooperate with other Jr. Team Leaders and Sr. Team Leader to ensure the best performance outcomes for the entire Area as well as with support fusuch as Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, etc to solve any issues.

  • Assist Sr. Team Leader in driving the Engagement of all team members, ensuring engagement actions are defined, implemented and followed-through.

  • Taking ownership when having to make difficult decisions linked to their Cell / Area. Performs other duties, tasks and responsibilities as assigned by Sr. Team Leader / Group Leader.

Job Qualifications

  • Able to demonstrate competence to undertake key tasks within the Cell / Area or within similar processes.

  • Excellent performance as a team member, demonstrating rigorous adherence to standardized work, highly knowledgeable in the process within the Cell / Area, and Self-motivated by meeting and exceeding PSQDCC performance targets

  • Demonstrated ability to work with personnel from various functions.

  • Demonstrated potential to lead, engage, train and develop technicians in the Cell / Area.

  • An effective communicator and an influential team member.

  • Min 5 years working experience

  • Qualifications in an Engineering or Science discipline.

  • Good standard of English language (communication and writing).

  • Experience in managing people previously.

  • A passion for the Aerospace industry.
