Compensation & Benefits Manager-LATAM

Location: Monterrey, N.L. (Hybrid)

Opportunity

BASIC RESPONSIBILITIES

Under the direction of Director – Compensation and part of the Total Rewards COE, is the primary contact and advisor for Compensation and Benefits topics within LATAM.

Responsible for the development, implementation and maintenance of compensation and benefit plans, policies and programs to attract, retain and develop talent in partnership with the Total Rewards COE. Ensure compensation and benefit offerings are market competitive, aligned with labor contractual agreements and compliant with local regulations and make recommendations for changes based on market research.

TARGETS

  • Recommends and participates in the development of policies, programs and strategies for compensating employees to ensure consistency, equity and validity; giving consideration to individual country practices, laws and regulations.

  • Performs regional market pricings aligned Kohler’s compensation.

  • Conducts and analyzes salary surveys and survey information to support competitive compensation classifications and individual pay.

  • Assists in selecting market surveys to purchase and/or participate in for the region.

  • Coordinates the market survey participation process for the region.

  • Provides compensation and benefit policy guidance and strategy to HR and hiring managers in the region, including as required the necessary documentation for proposed changes.

  • Supports the maintance of HR systems including organization structure and approved jobs through periodic audits.

  • Drives completion of annual compensation merit increase process in the region. This includes responsibility for coordinating the completion of administrative non-exempt and exempt compensation increases in the region in partnership with the Total Rewards COE team.

  • Responsible for assessing market and partnering with HR and the business for annual wage and benefit increases for all manufacturing plants in LATAM.

  • Designs benefit programs that aid in the attraction and retention of associates.

  • Participates in local benefit benchmarking surveys to obtain data and further analyze to support the position of our benefit plans in the market.

  • Reviews current benefit packages in the region against local, country and regional practices to understand the competitiveness of current benefit packages and makes recommendations regarding benefit plan design changes based on median market benchmarking.

  • Works with Total Rewards COE and HR to prepare the necessary documentation to obtain approval of benefit plan design and external vendor changes. Leads the implementation of changes locally.

  • Partners with the Total Rewards COE to support and drive the wellness and recognition programs in the region as the regional lead.

Reports to Director – Compensation

Dotted-line reports to Senior Manager of Benefits – Planning & Analysis

Organization Relationships:

Daily contact with Total Rewards team

Frequent contact with LATAM HR team

External Business Relationships:

External Total Rewards resources

Skills/Requirements

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Bachelors Degree specializing in Finance, Human Resources, or related field

Minimum 8 years experience in Human Resources with extensive prior experience in Total Rewards (Compensation & Benefits)

Strong knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and best practices related to compensation, benefits, and payroll administration.

Experience with HRIS systems and payroll software.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.

Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee information with professionalism.

Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational and project management skills.

Certifications are a plus.
