Job Title: TIG Welder

Job Description

As a TIG Welder, you will primarily work on gas turbine alloys, with some MIG involved. Your responsibilities include the set-up and installation of welding equipment, execution of welding on gas turbine components as per the required technical specification, and conducting quality checks of your performed work before operation step confirmation. You will also be tasked with the preparation and confirmation of the required quality documentation, reporting of used production time per production step, and setting up welding parameters. You will select consumable materials and prepare work pieces for new welding process trials together with our engineering staff. Additionally, you will design and fabricate welding fixtures, chill blocks, and purge boxes as required.

Hard Skills

  • 2+ years of Tig Welder working with stainless, carbon, pipe, structural steel

  • TIG welding on various materials such as Nickel Alloy’s Inconel Haynes cobalt stainless steel

  • Set-up and installation of welding equipment

  • Quality check of the performed work

  • Preparation and confirmation of the required quality documentation

  • Setting up welding parameters

  • Design and fabricate welding fixtures, chill blocks, and purge boxes

Soft Skills

  • Ability to work in a team

  • Good communication skills

  • Attention to detail

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 18 Week(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in JUPITER, FL.

Work Environment

The work environment is a warehouse setting with AC. You must have steel toes and safety shoes rated by ASTM F 2413-05 or ANSI Z41-1999. These must have I/C (Impact/compression), EH (electrical hazard) & SD (Static Dissipative) ratings. You will rotate between different departments to gain a variety of skills. The work schedule is Monday to Thursday, with a 1st shift from 5:30am to 4:00pm and a 2nd shift from 3:30pm-2:00am.
