Residential Opportunities, Inc. Intensive Residential Technician in Kalamazoo, Michigan
Our Intensive Residential Technicians provide one-on-one and group support to children and adolescents with autism and severe behavioral challenges in a residential care setting.
Full and part time, non-exempt status positions. Requirements: Must be 18 years of age or older, must possess a high school diploma or equivalent. Preference to those with a Bachelor's degree with coursework in at least 2 college courses relating to child/adolescent development, applied behavior analysis, psychology of learning, education and/or communication disorders. Duties include: implementing behavioral interventions for Individuals Served who demonstrate severe challenging behaviors including, but not limited to, physical aggression toward self and others and property damage; assisting Individuals in obtaining greater independence and community participation; providing personal and/or medical assistance as needed; teaching and role modeling appropriate behaviors and daily living skills; teaching and supporting Individuals to independently complete tasks such as personal hygiene, meal assistance, social and leisure activities, academic programs, coping skills, appropriate waiting, and others; administering medications according to ROI procedure; providing input for developing program plans and implementing said plans; establishing a collaborative relationship with Individuals Served, families, and staff; and more.
Hourly wage begins at $21.63 to $24.04, adjusted for relevant education and experience.
Evening, overnight, and weekend shifts available.
