Summary Description

We are currently looking for aRelationship Banker(Floating)to join our Leawood Retail Banking team.

As a Relationship Banker, you will operate a cash drawer, handle transactions, and open and process new accounts. This position will combine banking knowledge and stellar customer service.

This position will work \@Office. The Floating Relationship Banker will be based out of our Leawood location but have the flexibility to support all of the Kansas City branches (Ward Parkway, Mission Farms, Leawood, and Liberty).

What youll do

  • Opens and processes new deposit accounts and provides information on bank products and services.
  • Actively sells, cross sells and refers bank products and services to both new and existing customers to meet individual, branch and bank goals either in person, over the phone, or through electronic means.
  • Actively identifies customers current and future financial needs by deepening customer relationships, having a strong knowledge of bank products/services as well as involvement in the community as a representative of the bank.
  • Ensures that the highest levels of customer service are provided by promptly greeting and responding to the needs of customers, whether that be in person, over the phone, or through electronic means.
  • Identifies, researches and resolves both simple and complex customer service issues and inquiries.
  • Operates a cash drawer on a consistent basis. Efficiently and accurately processes transactions (deposits, withdrawals, payments, etc.) while maintaining an accurate cash balance and an accurate record of all transactions. Cashes checks within assigned limits.
  • Balances cash drawer and prepares settlements of cash and proof transactions. Issues money orders, cashiers and travelers checks, and gift cards. Follows and understands the daily scanning process of all transactions and deadlines.
  • Follows all applicable procedural and regulatory rules and guidelines.
  • Stays abreast of any new regulations or required training affecting the Relationship Banker role.
  • Must be a team player who can work with a team of individuals to perform a variety of tasks, working toward common branch and bank objectives.
  • Must be willing to work at any of the branch locations as needed within the nbkc network.
  • Performs other duties and projects as assigned.

What youll bring

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Qualified candidates must have at least 1 year of previous banking experience
  • Must be a team player who can work with a team of individuals to perform a variety of tasks, working toward common branch and bank objectives.
  • Knowledge of retail products/services and bank regulations/compliance, preferred
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
