Description

Position Overview:

Under the direction of Regional Sales Manager, The Sales Representative is someone who performs a variety of sales related duties and provides sales support in accordance with company policies and procedures. Potential target account channels include select Health Clubs, select College / University Recreation Centers & Athletics, Hospitality, High Schools, Multi Housing, Country Clubs, Municipalities and Corporate Fitness.

Responsibilities:

Sales Related:

· Outbound sales calls to prospect for new direct business

· Meet monthly goal for number of prospective customer site visits and new opportunities volume

· Timely data entry and updated information in contact management system (salesforce.com)

· Conduct Matrix Fitness showcase tours for existing and potential customers

· Provide Product Management with product, market and customer information

· Regularly provide management with accurate reports

· Meet monthly, quarterly and annual sales goals within territory

· Collaborate with Territory Sales Manager to strategize and cultivate the territory

· Follow all related procedures & policies

· Attend periodic industry trade shows which usually require travel

Requirements

Education:

· Minimum high school diploma or equivalent plus additional training or education such as an associate degree with a combination of experience preferred

· Bachelor's degree preferred in relevant field preferred

Experience:

· 1+ years of industry experience as a proven producer preferred

· Sales forecasting and reporting capability required

· Working knowledge of the commercial fitness industry; dues paying facilities or vertical market required

· 1 year or more of commercial fitness equipment sales preferred

Other Requirements:

· Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Internet Explorer required

· Software experience with CRM (SFDC), Auto Sketch or similar preferred

· Driver’s license required with acceptable motor vehicle record for extensive domestic travel for customer site visits, trade shows, sales meetings, etc.
