Robert Half Assistant Controller in Kapolei, Hawaii

Description

We are seeking a dedicated Assistant Controller to join our client on the Leeward side. A successful candidate will play a key role in financial operations, including the preparation of financial statements, maintaining the general ledger, and managing a team of Accountants and/or Junior Accountants. Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and compliance requirements

• Ensure accuracy of reports and effectiveness of controls

• Maintain the general ledger, profit center, and cost center master data in the system

• Collaborate with the IT department to maintain financial records and system processes

• Assist in maintaining and strengthening internal controls

• Ensure accurate maintenance of financial data in compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), tax, and regulatory requirements

• Assist with billing and tax documentation preparation

• Coordinate and review monthly and quarterly balance sheet reconciliations

• Coordinate month, quarter, and year-end closing procedures

• Work effectively with coworkers and others by sharing ideas in a constructive, positive manner

• Maintain commitment to a high standard of safety, comply with all safety laws and company safety policies/rules

Requirements

Skills:

• Knowledge in Accounting Functions, Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Auditing, and Budget Processes

• Experience in SAP

CPA required

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems and ERP Solutions

• Strong understanding of Accounting Functions including Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Experience in Auditing and Budget Processes

• Proficiency in SAP is highly desirable

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is required

• Proven leadership and management skills.
