The  Enterprise D esign and Research (ED R )  team is responsible for deepening customer engagement through our digital experiences on our mobile app, web, and push channels. The team’s mission is to increase digital engagement, customer satisfaction and revenue through a combination of compelling features and a superior user experience. Within EDR, the UX Design & Research team is a group of talented, passionate, multi-disciplinary members based in New York, Phoenix, and London. THE ROLE:

We are looking for a talented and passionate mobile Director Product Design. The successful candidate will have experience with digital initiatives and the ideation & development of mobile products and services and will be responsible for delivering user-based outcomes in the mobile product portfolio.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develops and communicates a compelling design vision and strategy that aligns with the company's product and business goals. Stay up to date with industry trends, new technologies and standard methodologies in product design, and integrate them into the design strategy. Collaborate with key partners, including product managers, engineers, and executives, to define and prioritize design initiatives.

  • Ensures the effective management of designers through planning, scoping, and delivery of all design work. Partners closely with other digital product management leaders to contribute to and influence the design strategy for their product or set of products.

  • Champions a user-centric design approach, ensuring that user the end-users' needs, behaviors and pain points are at the core of the design process. Define and maintain design principles, guidelines, and standards to ensure consistency and quality across products.

  • Leads, encourages, and manages a team of product designers, providing guidance, mentorship. and support to cultivate their professional growth. Set clear goals and expectations for the design team, and ensure they are aligned with the company's overall objectives.

  • Champions effective collaboration between the design team and other departments. Presents design concepts, strategies, and recommendations to executive partners and other cross-functional teams, optimally articulating design rationale and benefits.

Qualification Requirements:

  • 10 years UX / Interaction experience designing consumer facing applications and mobile experiences.

  • Strong design portfolio showcasing breadth of UX Design work.

  • Experience in ideation, sketching, concepting, brainstorming, and UX asset production.

  • Experience in aligning design initiatives with business objectives and effectively communicating design strategy to partners.

  • Proven ability to coach and motivate a product design team and foster a diverse and inclusive team culture, encouraging input from all team member.

  • Advanced degree in a related field or equivalent training/certification, or relevant work experience.
