Title: Member Technical Staff Application Engineer - Design

Our Design and Technology Enablement teams are working on the development of a broad portfolio of semiconductor technologies ranging from 350 nm down to 12nm including FD-SOI, RF, High-Voltage and automotive applications.

Introduction

Responsible to serve as the customer-facing IP Design Support Application Engineer to specifically cater to customers concerns using ARM based Foundational IPs.

Your Job

  • Provide best in class tech support to GF customers using ARM FIPs – AMS Ips, Std Cells, Memory compilers.

  • Translate customer pain points with respect to Foundational IPs and recommend relevant enhancements to the internal development teams to mitigate them thereby elevating customer experience.

  • Be able to communicate and present customer needs at cross-functional levels within organizations, customers and field representatives.

  • Constantly provide recommendations based on customer needs to continuously improve organizational processes.

Required Qualifications

  • 6-8 years of experience

  • Proficient in running and analyzing circuit simulations and layout verifications in order to replicate issues first-hand and propose work arounds as needed.

  • Knowledge of IC manufacturing and process technology along with a good understanding of Soc design methodology and foundational IPs.

  • Understanding of the FIP ecosystem and relevant methodologies such as Reliability, Low Power Designs, Compilers and tools such as Cadence Innovus and Synopsys ICC2

  • Good debugging skills and circuit knowledge needed to analyze existing IP designs.

  • Experience working in a foundry or EDA industry is an added advantage.

  • Travel 10% (flexible)

  • Fluency in the English Language – Written & verbal – Required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Project management skills - i.e., the ability to innovate and execute solutions that matter; the ability to navigate ambiguity.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills, proficient in PnR flows using Cadence/Synopsys tools.

  • Good communication skills, be able to train freshers in the team and be a great team player
