Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Benefits Administrator to join our growing construction company in Kent, WA. In this role, you will manage and oversee employee benefits administration within a self-insured benefits model, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and employee satisfaction. Responsibilities:

  • Benefits Administration: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the company’s self-insured benefits program, including health insurance, dental, vision, disability, and retirement plans.

  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with applicable federal and state regulations (e.g., ACA, ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA) and maintain comprehensive documentation for audits and reporting.

  • Employee Support: Provide excellent customer service by addressing employee inquiries, resolving escalated concerns, and educating employees on their benefits options.

  • Vendor Management: Liaise with third-party administrators (TPAs), brokers, and other service providers to ensure efficient operations and accurate claims processing.

  • Enrollment Management: Lead the annual open enrollment process, including developing communication materials, hosting informational sessions, and managing the online enrollment platform.

  • Data Analysis: Monitor claims data to identify trends, forecast costs, and provide recommendations for cost-saving initiatives without compromising benefits quality.

  • Policy Development: Recommend and implement benefits-related policies, ensuring alignment with the company’s goals and employee needs.

  • Leave Administration: Manage employee leave requests, ensuring compliance with FMLA, state-specific leave laws, and company policies.

    Requirements

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in benefits administration, preferably within a self-insured benefits model.

  • Familiarity with benefits software platforms and data analytics tools.

  • Strong knowledge of benefits-related legal and regulatory requirements (ACA, ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA).

  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

  • Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and a commitment to employee satisfaction.

  • Professional certifications such as Certified Benefits Professional (CBP) or Professional in Human Resources (PHR) are a plus.
