ManTech Configuration Management Specialist in King George, Virginia

We are currently seeking a motivated Configuration Management Specialist to join our dedicated team in Dahlgren, VA . This is an On-Site position.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide crucial support for AEGIS Combat System Elements (ACSE) software maintenance in support of computer program builds and installations.

  • Communicate with Participating Acquisition Resource Managers (PARMs) and In-service engineering agent (ISEA) to retrieve and inputs required to perform audits and offloads.

  • Perform Pre-Audit and Post-Audit computer program media status accounting efficiently.

  • Communicate with Fleet, Waterfront support and ship personnel to coordinate audits and offloads.

  • Perform shipboard AEGIS Weapons System (AWS) and ACSE audit and Offloads on board ship.

  • Generate transmittal and shipping documents on board ship and wrap media for return from audits and offloads.

  • Process superseded media against AEGIS Tracking Log and assign disposition, once returned.

  • Ensure media is labeled appropriately in accordance with Certification and Authorization letters.

  • Out brief ship command on audit and offload findings in absence of On-Site Installation Coordinator (OSIC).

  • Post documents and maintain files on VIEWNet.

  • Generate media assignment memos accurately.

  • Create outgoing transmittal requests using the customer's Advanced Configuration Control and Engineering Status System (ACCESS) database.

  • Generate standard documents such as Inventory Control Logs (ICLs).

  • Support the definition, improvement, and development of standard operating procedures.

  • Attend various review and status meetings.

  • Provide metrics as required to support data calls.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or Graduate Equivalent Degree (GED).

  • Two (2)+ years of related experience with knowledge of AEGIS or Active duty on board a US Naval Vessel

  • One (1)+ years of experience with configuration and process management

  • Capable of supporting fluctuating travel to various locations both Contiguous United States (CONUS) and Outside Contiguous United States (OCONUS) as designated by Fleet calendar. Main Locations: Norfolk VA, Mayport FL, San Deigo CA, Everette Washington, Pearl Harbor HI, Yokosuka/Sasebo Japan, Romania, Poland, Rota Spain.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience and knowledge of the Navy's AEGIS Combat/Weapons Systems

  • Knowledge of the Advanced Configuration Control and Engineering Status System (ACCESS) database

  • Familiarity with Navy operations/chain of command

  • Exceptional written communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, analytical, mathematical, and organizational skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat

Clearance Requirements:

  • Must be a US citizen and currently active Secret clearance

Physical Requirements:

  • The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.

  • Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.
