Requisition Summary PACCAR's Embedded Engineering department, which serves both Kenworth and Peterbilt, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Embedded Engineering Supervisor - Hardware and Control Systems. The successful candidate will coordinate Embedded Engineering product development across multiple concurrent development programs to meet program schedules. The ideal candidate will be able to lead engineers to deliver critical program goals across multiple projects and continue to enhance PACCAR's global functional and system development processes. PACCAR Embedded Engineering is seeking an experienced candidate to lead a team of embedded hardware engineers in system, controller, and base software development. The successful candidate must coordinate hardware and base software development and system-level documentation across multiple concurrent development programs to meet program schedules. Experience with automotive or truck embedded hardware development, architecture, and testing is required. Understanding of software and hardware lifecycle and process development is required. Our ideal candidate will be able to lead engineers to deliver critical program goals across multiple projects and continue to enhance PACCAR's global embedded engineering development processes. Job Functions / Responsibilities Lead a team of electronic hardware engineers to translate system and architecture requirements into hardware and base software specifications used on PACCAR medium and heavy duty trucks. Manage hardware team deliverables across multiple projects and programs for all stages of product development (Definition, Concept, Engineering, and Verification/Validation), and adapt job responsibilities within the team to ensure their successful completion. Develop & maintain the design, integration, and build plans for hardware and base software releases, and track execution against them throughout all stages of a program. Lead change management boards and other governance processes to maximize re-use of controllers globally within PACCAR. Support deployment of ISO26262 and ASPiCE disciplines throughout PACCAR and develop processes within the hardware development team to support the wider corporate initiative. Work with counterparts throughout PACCAR to provide a global approach to hardware development and validation and maintain corporate specifications where appropriate. Develop and maintain department and program resource plans and budgets related to the application software team. Provide written and verbal updates to PACCAR senior management on program objectives and department strategic goals, as well as status versus the objectives and goals.
