At L&P Aerospace, we specialize in creating complex tube and duct assemblies using high-performance materials capable of withstanding extreme pressure, temperature, and chemical interaction.

After our materials have gone through the necessary processes, we are left with high-performance finished goods that are ready to be incorporated into assemblies for our customers.

POSITION SUMMARY: Recommends and assists in the implementation of methods which enhance the Quality Management System and customer satisfaction. Assists in quality system audits including evaluation of suppliers. Presents results of improvement efforts and ongoing performance measures associated with the NR and MRB process. Ensure the incorporation of quality plans into manufacturing processes to improve the overall quality of products delivered. Develop efficient and lean product validation methods.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Assist Quality Manager in the development and maintenance of Quality Procedures and Work Instructions

  • Responsible for updating all specifications to the latest revision.

  • Perform contract review on new orders working with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Procurement to ensure:

  • Flow down of customer requirements within the engineered processes and supplier purchase orders.

  • Quality checks are specified and sequenced properly in the process

  • Key Processes / Characteristics are identified, and control plans initiated.

  • Aid in the establishment and maintain the PFMEA established for a product or family of parts and associated control plan to mitigate risk on current and new product.

  • Develop and submit PPAP documents for new product as well as current product in accordance with customer requirements.

  • Identify and facilitate the need for FAIR or delta FAI in accordance with AS9102 and customer requirements.

  • Determine and apply appropriate statistical techniques and Measurement System Analysis tools.

  • Assist in the Quality System/conduct internal audits.

  • Assist in the coordination of customer onsite audits.

  • Facilitate and promote the use of appropriate problem-solving techniques for effective root cause analysis and successful corrective action.

  • Perform duties in accordance with quality system requirements.

  • Coordinate with internal groups such as Engineering, Inspection, Manufacturing to resolve customer complaints.

  • Ensure internal non-conformances and corrective/preventive actions are completed in an effective and timely manner.

  • Aid in driving new technologies and continuous improvement in the receiving and final inspection processes as well as the final product release process to meet company and customer needs and goals.

  • Interact with customers to resolve problems.

  • Provide support and expertise during regulatory and customer audits of the quality management system

  • Understanding and utilizing the following basic decision-making process so quality and timely decisions will be made that are supported and understood relative to the essential functions or the impact thereon:

    • Requesting or determining that a decision or action need to be made (the requestors are not necessarily the decision maker(s);
  • Involving the “right people”, including those affected by the potential decision and those who have meaningful knowledge so they can contribute facts and opinions, if need be;

  • Identifying criteria for a successful decision, including the likely risks; and

  • Determining and communicating how the decision making will be made (e.g. unanimous, consensus, single decision maker)

    QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

    EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION REQUIRED:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in the aerospace quality field; OR any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.

  • Understand and interpret blueprints, specifications, operations sheets, etc.

  • Understand geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.

  • Computer literate (Windows, MS Office, E-mail, etc.)

  • Self-starter who is comfortable with hands-on activities.

    Pay Range: $90,000 - $110,000 with Corp bonus eligibility.
