JOB SUMMARY
The Shipping Clerk will schedule, process and track product shipments in partnership with internal and external customers.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform administrative duties in support of activities related to the shipping of finished goods
Communicate and coordinate with transportation companies
Handle routine questions and problems and maintains open communication with other departments throughout the shipping/delivery cycle
Log order information into the computer and files and distributes paperwork as necessary
Package and prepare products and merchandise for final shipment and posts weights and shipping charges
Prepare and maintain records of merchandise shipped
Review customer orders
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent
Demonstrates awareness of job duties (typically <1 year of direct experience in the essential functions of the position)
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
As a US Department of Defense Contractor, Astronics is bound by International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Must be a US Person under ITAR to be eligible.
An offer of employment is contingent on successfully passing a pre-employment background screen and drug test which includes screening for the use of cannabis.
Salary is $18.46 - $24.97 per hour . Several job-related and non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to experience in comparable roles, skill sets, training, education, licensure or certifications, other qualifications, market conditions and business needs influence actual salary offered.
