Description

A.T. Still University (ATSU) is seeking an exempt Assistant Director-Residential Admissions (Recruitment) for the Kirksville, MO campus. The Asst. Director will specialize in relationship building and play a critical role in developing strategic partnerships and fostering relationships that enhance student recruitment efforts. This position requires strong interpersonal skills who can collaborate with various stakeholders to promote ATSU’s programs effectively. The Asst. Director will also assist in management of the Admissions team including recruitment, application review/screening processes and applicant interview support.

Major Job Duties

  • Identify, develop, and maintain strategic partnerships with key organizations and institutions that can enhance student recruitment and placement.

  • Focus on creating mutually beneficial relationships and innovative collaborative pathways.

  • Works closely with the admissions team to integrate partnership opportunities into broader enrollment strategies. Utilize partnerships to drive applications and enrollments while keeping with ATSU’s strategic plan and mission.

  • Utilize CRM/software to the full extent possible in recruitment and retention of students for ATSU residential programs.

  • Monitor pre-screen and screening queues to ensure files are being reviewed by staff on a timely basis.

  • Identify, develop, and maintain relationships with key partners such as colleges, universities, professional organizations and health institutions. This includes special programs such as MOU's, Still Scholars, and Hometown Scholars, as well as developing new engagement opportunities.

  • Coordinate retention/recruitment efforts and social media events and communication sites with Director-Admissions and Enrollment Services

  • Assist Admissions Director-Residential, in leading and mentoring a team of admissions professionals, fostering a collaborative team environment and supporting professional development.

  • Oversee and assist with ATSU events, for admissions and student affairs including interview days, new student orientation, accepted student events, open houses, etc.

  • Assists and develops, facilitates, and oversees all training for Admissions Recruitment staff on advising applicants, competitive applications, conducting campus tours, presenting, promoting ATSU programs, interviewing, travel/recruitment, and all other aspects of their positions. Assists with training staff and faculty on Admissions interview processes and legalities.

  • Design, implement and manage outreach programs aimed at building strong networks with feeder institutions.

  • Assist with recruitment strategies with ATSU programs/schools (ASHS, SOMA, KCOM, ASDOH, MOSDOH and others)

  • Ensure application flow is efficient and timely with file screening and advancement.

  • Represent ATSU at conferences, grad fairs, and other networking events to enhance visibility.

  • Set clear annual goals and benchmarks for relationship building and partnership engagement.

  • Travel to national and regional recruitment events/conferences and professional development opportunities

  • Other jobs/tasks may be assigned as needed

Job Responsibilities

  1. Programs or Services
  • Work as a member of the ATSU admissions team to provide applicants and advisors with accurate and informative materials on all residential ATSU programs.

  • Coordinate between the Missouri, Arizona, and California campuses the ongoing staff/counselor training, travel assignments, and regular updating of accurate information about ATSU residential programs.

  • Based on data and input, make recommendations and assignments on staff travel for recruitment purposes.

  • Coordinate with the Director-Admissions and Enrollment Services in the creation of informative PowerPoint presentations that support the recruitment and retention of students and educate others on ATSU programs.

  • Coordinate with Director-Communications and Enrollment Services, document, coordinate, and facilitate the implementation of all Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) with undergraduate and master’s programs, creating pipeline and pathway programs into ATSU’s residential programs.

  • Assist with developing accurate and complete data/records for Admissions recruitment.

  • Assist with developing marketing materials for recruitment purposes.

  • Train Admissions recruitment staff members on all job-related responsibilities and University/departmental expectations.

  • Provide feedback to KCOM-DO/MOSDOH-DMD & BioMed Applicants who interviewed & were not accepted.

Education/Experience

  • 4-year college degree in Education, Psychology, Business, Marketing, Public Relations or relevant degree area.

  • College plus postgraduate studies in Student Affairs, Marketing, Business Administration

  • 1-2 years of experience preferred.

  • Work directly with people utilizing all modes of communication.
