United States Fleet Forces Command LEAD SECURITY ASSISTANT (OA) in Kittery, Maine

Summary You will serve as a LEAD SECURITY ASSISTANT (OA) in the SECURITY SUPPORT OFFICE (CODE 1122), EXECUTIVE SUPPORT OFFICE of PORTSMOUTH NAVAL SHIPYARD. Responsibilities You will report to the supervisor on performance, progress, and training needs of security employees. You will ensure remote surveillance equipment and other sensitive systems are properly used and monitored. You will recommend changes to Standard Operating Procedures affecting operations. You will review and evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of security systems and devices used for safeguarding classified National Security Information. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of Specialize experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Specialize Experience: Experience operating computerized alarm monitoring systems such as: monitoring and controlling Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS), Closed Circuit Television Camera, Security Systems (CCTV), digital and analog two-way radio systems, and Automated Access Control Systems (AACS) in support of physical security requirements and special security missions. Experience utilizing the AACS system. Experience providing real-time assessment of secure spaces, alarm conditions, entry/exit points to the Controlled Industrial Area and other spaces therein and denying access to specific personnel based on predetermined guidelines relative to fuel security, personnel security, and physical security requirements. Experience controlling communication equipment including multi-channel radio consoles, portable radios, and telephone equipment. Experience actively monitoring radio traffic relative to Portsmouth Naval Shipyard (PNS) and other areas throughout Navy Region Mid-Atlantic, assessing information, and deciding as to which additional notifications need to be made based on written procedures and guidelines.
