Red Hat Market Development Representative - Mandarin/Cantonese in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Job Summary:

The Red Hat Market Development team is looking for a Market Development Representative to join us in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. In this role, you'll be responsible for working with the Marketing and Sales teams to contact prospective sales leads, qualify them, and set appointments for Red Hat account executives and solutions sales specialists. This is a great opportunity to join a rapidly growing team and be part of a new strategic initiative within Red Hat Marketing.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Follow up on inbound marketing generated leads from the website, tradeshows, and other marketing events and programs to qualify leads and set appointments for Red Hat sales teams and solutions architects

  • Collaborate with the Marketing team to uncover sales leads in new territories through cold calls and email

  • Identify customer’s business needs and communicate how Red Hat's offerings can address those needs; collaborate with the Sales team on account strategy, demand generation activities, delivery plans, and results

  • Make extensive use of successful prospecting techniques to evangelize Red Hat's solutions portfolio, generate customer interest, and provide a targeted value proposition

  • Develop an understanding of all Red Hat technology, solutions, pricing, and subscription model

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in business, management, information systems, marketing, communications, or related field of study

  • Work experience or academic projects in sales, marketing, or information systems

  • Public speaking and presentation skills

  • Knowledge of sales techniques and systems like Salesforce.com

  • Willingness and ability to travel as needed

  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work and learn on your own, as well as on a team

  • Ability to understand the needs and pains of the customer and link them to Red Hat offerings

  • Ability to discuss key industry issues at multiple levels within an organization

  • Motivated with the ability to work under strict deadline
