Procurement Program Project Manager is responsible for and will lead multiple Procurement programs and projects, working with cross-functional teams and deploying standard work to build and execute projects for productivity, large-scale initiatives, and continuous improvements. This role’s primary focus will be in support of leading projects for the procurement organization while also executing the procurement function as part of those projects. Responsible for monitoring active projects, updating status, eliminating roadblocks, and escalating issues as appropriate. Identify gaps in goals and collaboratively develop and support countermeasures and activities to close the gap and exceed target metrics. Work to align strategies between commodity management and local business unit to ensure supply chain optimization.

Where is the work:

This position is eligible for a Hybrid work schedule (3 or more days onsite a week) and will be based out of our La Crosse Wisconsin location.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with commodity teams, materials, operations, engineering, finance, quality, and field operations to complete projects and achieve expected benefits within the project timeline.

  • Lead and support gate reviews communicating sourcing requirements, supplier decisions, supply chain risk, cost considerations, supply agreements, project timelines, etc.

  • Monitor active projects, updating status, eliminating roadblocks, and escalating issues as appropriate.

  • Identify goal gaps and collaboratively develop and support countermeasures and activities to close the gap and exceed targeted metrics.

  • Work to align project deliverables to commodity strategies and business unit goals.

  • Evaluate Trane Technologies' business needs against supplier capabilities to select the preferred suppliers who meet quality, cost, and delivery requirements; leverage commercial knowledge to navigate and manage supplier relationships and contracts.

  • Work with category managers to ensure supply agreements are in place to support new business.

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS/ME degree in business or engineering with a minimum of 5 years of previous work experience in a diversified industrial company in the areas of procurement, engineering, project management, quality, finance, and/or operations.

  • Strong Analytic experience

  • Demonstrated ability for independent thinking and multi-tasking. Proven ability to plan proactively, anticipate issues, and have excellent problem-resolution records with little or no input or assistance. Excellent follow-through. Proficiency in computer applications including industry-related software and tools.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills. Strong influencing and negotiating skills across the organization. Possess strong interpersonal skills. Ability to lead, develop, and motivate suppliers and cross-functional teams.

  • Experience in supplier development, materials management, project management, and/or supplier quality a plus.

  • Must be a strategic thinker and have demonstrated experience driving strategies

  • Microsoft Project Expertise or similar systems a plus

  • Ability to travel up to 20%

  • A hybrid work environment is available. Geographic proximity to La Crosse, WI required

Compensation:

Base Pay Range: $95,000- $125,000 . Total compensation for this role will include an incentive plan.

Disclaimer: This base pay range is based on US national averages. Actual base pay could result from seniority, merit, and geographic location where the work is performed.
