"Job#: 2031634 Job Description: We are seeking a laboratory technician to fill a vacancy in our Quality Assurance Lab. This position would involve taking samples from the plant and performing standard analyses to ensure a good quality product. The position would be on a rotating shift as our QA lab runs 24 hours/day to support the operations of the plant.Collect various product samples from plantFollow standard procedures, perform required analytical tests on samplesPerform quality control testing on composite samples of railcars and overseas shipping containers,Enter analytical results into quality reporting database in accurate and timely mannerPerform required instrument maintenance and ISO Quality Management System required calibrations on laboratory instrumentsPerform Mercury Porosimetry, X-ray Fluorescence (XRF), BET surface Area Analysis, and other powder characterization testsUse SAP to track QA results and shipmentsMaintain a clean and hygienic work environment in the laboratoryEEO EmployerApex Systems is an equal opportunity employer.
