Need 11 full time, temporary, seasonal Farmworkers, Crops and Livestock to work in Lake City, MN. From: 02/17/2024 to 12/01/2024 Work: 48 hrs./week, Mon.-Sat. 8 hrs./day, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. May have to work nights, possibly weekends. Employer may request but cannot require workers to work on their Sabbath. Workers will be paid overtime in accordance with Minnesota Statute 177, specifically 177.25 Subdivision 1 and/or 177.23 Subdivision 7(2). Employer may, at the company's sole discretion, pay workers an hourly rate above the minimum required and/or offer a bonus to any seasonal worker employed pursuant to this job order depending on how many years of experience they have obtained by working for the employer or other factors such as work performance, skill, punctuality, licensing, training, prior work experience, etc. Must Apply By: 07/11/2024 NOTE: Due to system rules, this job order will close before the recruitment period elapses on 07/11/2024, however a new job order will be created and posted for the remainder of the recruitment period. JOB DESCRIPTION: Record information about crops such as pesticide use, yields, or costs; Direct and monitor work during planting and harvesting of crops; Repair and maintain farm vehicles, implements, and mechanical equipment; Inform farm managers of crop progress; Operate tractors, tractor-drawn machinery, and self-propelled machinery such as payloader, skid loader, spreader, harvester, tillage tool to plow, harrow and fertilize soil, or to plant, cultivate, spray and harvest crops; Load agricultural products into trucks without over or underfilling bed or trailer, and drive to market or storage facilities; Clean work areas and maintain grounds and landscaping; Maintain inventory; Attend to live farm animals including cattle by vaccinating, calving, tagging, supplementing; Haul and spread manure, fertilizer, and other materials to condition soil; Repair farm buildings, fences, and other structures; Mix materials, dump solutions or seeds into planter or sprayer machinery; Attach implements using hand tools. May have to work nights, possibly weekends. Employer may request but cannot require workers to work on their Sabbath. Work requires exposure to extreme temperatures, extensive pushing, pulling, sitting, standing, and repetitive movements. JOB REQUIREMENTS: Three (3) months recent and verifiable experience for the job duties listed; able to lift 75 lbs.; valid non-CDL Driver's License or able to obtain license following hire; obtain clean driving record; possible random drug test post hire at employer's expense; testing positive or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment. No minimum education required. EMPLOYER ASSURANCES: Work guaranteed for 3/4 of contract period, starting with date of arrival at work site. Employer provides free housing for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Employer pays inbound transportation and subsistence to work site upon 50% completion of work contract for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of at least $15.46 per day during travel to a maximum of $59.00 per day with receipts. Required tools and supplies provided free of charge by employer.
