GBR Dairy LLP Farmworker in Lake Park, Minnesota

Need four full time, temporary, seasonal Farmworkers to work in Hitterdahl, MN. From: 12/15/2024 to 05/15/2025 Work: 40 hrs./week, Mon-Fri. 8hrs./day. 8:00am-5:00pm. As required for all workers in Minnesota, hours worked in excess of 48 hours in a work week will be paid at the rate of 1.5 times the regular rate of pay. Effective Jan 1, 2024, per MN State Statute, an employee will earn one hour of paid sick and safe time for every 30 hours worked, up to at least 48 hours of accrued Earned Sick and Safe Time (ESST) per year, provided the employee works a minimum of 80 hours in a calendar year. Must apply by: 03/01/2025 JOB DESCRIPTION: Feed and water livestock and monitor food and water supplies. Clean and repair corals and provide clean hay for livestock. Examine animals to detect illness, injury, or disease, and to check physical characteristics, such as rate of weight gain. Perform duties related to livestock reproduction, such as breeding animals within appropriate time frames, performing artificial inseminations, and helping with animal births, provide medical treatment, such as administering medications and vaccinations, or arrange for veterinarians to provide more extensive treatment, shift animals between grazing areas to ensure that they have sufficient access to food. Transport animals, crops, or equipment. Herd livestock to pastures in Spring for grazing or to scales, pickup trucks, or other enclosures. Employer may provide pay increases for performance, longevity and/or experience at employer s discretion. Employer may provide performance bonuses at the end of the contract at the employer s discretion. Employer will provide all work related tools, supplies and equipment. JOB REQUIREMENTS: One (1) month farm experience, Class D License, be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Job requires exposure to extreme outdoor temperatures, extensive pushing or pulling, extensive sitting or walking. Employer will conduct post-hire drug tests at no cost to the employee to enforce a drug free workplace policy. No High School Diploma / GED required. EMPLOYER ASSURANCES: Work guaranteed for 3/4 of contract period, starting with date of arrival at work site. Employer provides free housing for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Employer pays inbound transportation and subsistence to work site upon 50% completion of work contract for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of at least $15.88 per day during travel to a maximum of $59.00 per day with receipts.
