Summary About the position: This position is located at the Great Little Pizza Place, RAF Lakenheath. This position requires shift work to provide coverage on days, evenings, weekends, holidays, or special situations. Scheduled hours will be 0-40 per week with no minimum guarantee. Must be physically able to frequently lift objects weighing up to 40 pounds Responsibilities Performs a full range of simple cooking tasks by preparing and cooking items that required little or no processing. Prepares pizza dough, sauces and various toppings such as tomatoes, peppers, mushrooms, onions and meats. Monitors the temperature of the pizza ovens as well as cooking times. Preparing high-quality pizzas according to company recipes. Monitoring inventory and placing orders for supplies as needed. Cleaning workstations before pizza preparation. Ensuring that all utensils and cooking equipment are sterilized before each use. Plating or packaging pizza accordingly. Managing all food order slips and ensuring that customers' orders are completed in a timely manner. Performs other duties as assigned. Knowledge of operating and cleaning food service equipment, characteristics of various foods, and the ability to season food and decide when foods are done is required. Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution in order to qualify. FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program. It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying.
