The Telephone Loan Representative helps the prospective borrowers determine which products fit their needs, answer questions, and guide them through the loan application. The representative will manage a pipeline of potential loans from lead generation through closing. They will gain an understanding of mortgage and other loan products that will assist in converting leads into loan applications. They will work closely with the team in order to move loans through the process. This individual will actively promote FirstBank and its core values, work as necessary to convert mortgage leads to applications, and applications to processing.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Consult with borrowers about their financial needs and conduct loan interviews over the phone.
Convert interviews into applications and obtain preliminary documentation from borrowers.
Provide guidance to borrowers about loan details and next steps to ensure smooth transition.
Lock in rates and communicate to borrower for single point of contact.
Request new mortgage loan opportunities with both current and potential customers.
Perform follow-up work as necessary and other duties as assigned.
Position starts at $15.25 per hour plus commissions based on sales.

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Work is performed in an office environment with moderate noise levels and light to heavy traffic. An individual in this position:
• Frequently remains stationary throughout a typical business day
• Frequently operates a computer and other office machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer
• Occasionally moves about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, and other rooms
• Occasionally positions self to access drawers and shelves of various heights
• Frequently reaches for and handles paperwork and files
• Constantly communicates with customers, coworkers, and management in-person and on the phone
• Must be able to exchange accurate information
