Vontier Human Resources Generalist in Lakewood, New York
As Human Resources Generalist, you will be responsible for supporting efforts regarding recruiting, associate relations, performance management, compensation & benefits administration, policy administration, and execution of special programs.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Drive recruiting and employment activities to ensure timely placement of qualified associates for exempt, non-exempt, hourly, and temporary positions
Day-to-day associate relations including problem solving, counseling, coaching, fact-finding, etc.
Administer and monitor worker’s compensation, short-term disability, and FMLA claims
Perform investigations on any policy violation claims
Provide internal consulting services regarding the interpretation and application of HR policies and processes. Participate in developing best practices and implementing policies and processes as applicable
Manage hourly performance review process
Help to develop/support programs, policies, procedures, and controls regarding HR metrics
Reporting on HR metrics, headcount, and other various reporting requirements
Ensure compliance with employment laws. Represent or aid in the representation of the company on related litigation
Properly execute corporate policies and HR programs
Keep current on local and federal employment law
WHO YOU ARE
Bachelor's degree required OR high school diploma with additional experience with employee relations specifically
Minimum 3 years of HR generalist experience
Manufacturing environment preferred
Conflict resolution skills
Recruiting and interviewing skills
Problem solving skills
Leadership and teamwork - create followership
Communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities
Strong computer skills, including MS Office applications
Effective time management and organizational skills
PHR preferred

The base compensation range for this position is $68,000 to $85,000 per year. Your actual base salary will be determined based upon a number of factors which may include relevant experience, skills, location (labor market data), credentials (education, certifications), and internal equity.
