Position Summary

The Campus Safety Officer is responsible for providing public safety and security for the College community by protecting college property, buildings, grounds, equipment, and other assets, located on campus grounds, owned or leased property. The Campus Safety Officer receives and processes reports, obtains statements, and conducts initial investigations of incidents, accidents, and complaints.   Campus Safety Officers must be able to positively interact with a diverse campus community. They must have a service focus, and respond to emergency and crisis situations within the capabilities and limits of the Department's authority. Campus Safety Officers are designated as "Essential Personnel" and are required to report to work during emergencies.
