Interior, Bureau of Indian Affairs Maintenance Worker Supervisor in Lame Deer, Montana

Summary This position is located with the Bureau of Indian Affairs, Superintendent, Northern Cheyenne Agency in Lame Deer, Montana. This position will provide technical and logistical services for day-to-day activities of the Agency. NOTE: TRAVEL AND RELOCATION EXPENSES WILL NOT BE AUTHORIZED. ANY RELOCATION EXPENSES ASSOCIATED WITH REPORTING FOR DUTY WILL BE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE SELECTED EMPLOYEE. Responsibilities The Maintenance Worker Supervisor contributes to the mission of the Branch of Facilities Management by performing mixed duties of general maintenance on all office buildings, shops, residential dwellings, and all other buildings or grounds for which the Bureau is responsible for.The Maintenance Worker Supervisor's duties consist of, but are not limited to: Managing facility operations and maintenance CarpentryElectrical maintenance and repair PlumbingBoiler maintenance Grounds keeping Roofing Heating equipment maintenance Responsible for making judgements in workload Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications This position is OPEN UNTIL FILLED and may be extended or closed prior to the current closing date. This is a supervisory position. Under provision of the Civil Service Reform Act, first-time supervisors are required to serve a one year supervisory probationary period before their appointment becomes final. Those who do not satisfactorily complete this probationary period will be returned to positions of no lower grade and pay than those they occupied before assuming their supervisory assignment. All qualification requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement. Merit Promotion candidates must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the announcement closing date.
