Summary THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER, Position Description Number D0742000 and is part of the FACILITY ENGINEERS, National Guard. This vacancy does not meet the criteria for appointment of annuitants. THIS IS AN INDEFINITE POSITION WITH POTENTIAL TO CONVERT TO PERMANENT. Responsibilities As a ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER, GS-0341-9, you will provide advice and support to the Facility Manager Officer , to supervise the administrative and automation functions within the Administrative Services Branch, and if necessary to perform independent duties when required, related to the contract and fiscal activities for all Army National Guard (ARNG) construction and maintenance projects, whether federally and/or state funded. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Military Grades: WARRANT/ENLISTED ONLY GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience, education or training in managing or directing, one or more programs, including appropriate supporting service organizations. Supervisory, managerial, professional or technical work experience and/or training which has provided knowledge of management principles, practices, methods and techniques. Experience using computer and automation systems. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have at least 12 months experience, education or training analyzing problems, identifying significant factors, gathering pertinent data and recognizing solutions. Experience preparing reports, plans, policies and various correspondence. Experience evaluating objectives and develop plans to facilitate the availability and effective utilization of various resources. Experience utilizing the organization, its mission and the organizational staff procedures. Experience interacting with a variety of groups and/or individuals and the ability to apply analytical and evaluative techniques to the identification, consideration, and resolution of issues or problems of a procedural or factual nature. Education If you are using Education to qualify for this position, Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D., if related. You must provide a copy of Official Transcripts as documentation to support your Educational claims. To receive credit for Education, you must provide documentation of proof that you meet the Education requirements for this position. Additional Information **If this position is converted to a Permanent appointment, Superior Qualifications may be considered at the time of the conversion. TAG is final approval authority for incentive programs (applicable to newly appointed federal employees or those with a 90 day break in service). MILITARY REQUIREMENTS: NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED: This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the National Guard. Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform. Acceptance of an excepted service position constitutes concurrence with these requirements as a condition of employment. Applicants who are not currently a member of the National Guard must be eligible for immediate membership and employment in the National Guard in the military grade listed in this announcement.
