1. Purpose of the position

Ensures the management of his department in terms of planning activities, resources, budget, organization of work and management of teams for the realization of the production plan. Ensures the development and training of staff and the implementation of continuous improvement and performance actions

2. Main functions

MANUFACTURING / PACKAGING BATCHES

• Validates the short and medium term production planning established with the Logistics Department

• Organizes material and human resources (daily, weekly, quarterly according to the needs expressed by planning

• Ensures the availability of materials and documentation necessary for the production of planned batches

• Ensures that batch files and more generally all production documents are completed correctly and in real time.

• Ensures the declaration of productions in the GPAO (pay point)

• Analyzes malfunctions and manufacturing deviations to implement corrective actions

• Verifies and documents, if necessary, batch files and production documents before transfer to quality assurance.

• Ensures non-compliance is dealt with until the problem is definitively resolved.

• Ensures the updating of manufacturing documents (Instructions, procedures)

GMP and HSE

• Ensures compliance and application of GMPs within his department

• Participates in “self-inspections” or audits and ensures that self-inspections of his department are carried out.

• Participates in the definition, implements and monitors the quality improvement program of his department.

• Writes and/or coordinates the writing of procedures and instructions and ensures their implementation

• Initiates change requests and reports deviations from procedures/instructions

• Monitors deviations and actions related to change requests

• Participates in the production of product validation batches

• Provides support for validation activities (equipment, processes)

• Declines and enforces the HSE policy in his department

• Proposes HSE improvements through the PASS and monitors the actions undertaken

• Ensures the effective implementation of safety reception procedures at the workstation

• Organizes the analysis of incidents/accidents, recommends corrective actions and ensures follow-up

• Ensures the development of its employees, particularly through the definition of the training plan

• Identifies staffing needs and participates in recruitment

• Ensures the effectiveness of the integration and training process within his department

• Ensures that you maintain a daily climate conducive to good team productivity

• Ensures compliance with human resources policies and promotes the use of the tools made available.

• Ensures the implementation of audit recommendations.

• Promotes the spirit of innovation by listening to your teams and challenging them

• Identifies areas for progress in terms of quality, cost, deadlines, safety, working methods, tools, systems, productivity, efficiency, performance and monitors improvement measures

• Implements audit recommendations

4. Resources

MANAGEMENT OF RESOURCES

• Prepares and manages the budget of his department (production and operation)

• Proposes the necessary investments for his department

• Writes the specifications for investments and monitors their implementation.

• Proposes the annual performance objectives of his department.

• Validates ranges and nomenclatures

• Ensures compliance with production standards (OEE, productivity, yield, costs)

• Manages the allocation priorities of staff and equipment according to needs and deadlines

• Defines action plans allowing the optimization of production in terms of Quality/Cost/Delay/Safety

• Ensures the implementation of the preventive maintenance plan defined with the technical services.

• Ensures the qualification status of the installations and compliance with the qualification plan.

5. Main professional relationships

• Participates in multidisciplinary working groups

• Is the preferred contact for support services for the management of daily problems (QA, Technical Service, HR, HSE, etc.)

• Ensures compliance with deadlines and informs the services concerned in the event of a deviation

• Initiates improvement projects within his department and participates in cross-functional projects
