As our Pharmacy Manager, you will:

1.Plans, directs, revises, and modifies pharmacy procedures.

  1. Assigns, assists with, and supervises the work of a staff of professional and technical personnel in compounding, mixing, and dispensing of a wide variety of drugs used for or sold to patients of the hospital.

  2. Requisitions all supplies required and reviews, analyzes, and becomes familiar with new pharmaceutical preparations recommended for patient use in order to be of assistance to the staff of the hospital.

  3. Establishes and maintains an approved system of record keeping and bookkeeping; prepares annual budget.

  4. Supervises the taking of inventories.

  5. Acts as agent with total responsibility for all controlled medications in the pharmacy.

  6. Promotes effective working relations and works effectively as part of a team to facilitate the Clinics ability to meet its goals and objectives.

  7. Attains all agreed to goals and objectives within specified time frames, as part of the Clinics overall mission.

  8. Responsibly follows the Clinic Exposure Control Plans/Bloodborne and Airborne Pathogens.

  9. Demonstrates respect and regard for the dignity of all patients, families, visitors and fellow employees to ensure a professional, responsible and courteous environment.

  10. Works collaboratively and cooperatively with pharmacy, nursing, administration, and medical staff to ensure optimization of medication use process.

  11. Actively participates in the accomplishment and ensures the implementation of the pharmacy services scope of practice.

  12. Responsible for all counseling of patients with their prescriptions

  13. Guides, oversees, assesses, and reviews the work of assigned clinical staff pharmacists and other personnel for productivity, efficiency, and quality.

  14. All other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Required:

Bachelors Degree in Pharmacy, or Doctoral Degree in Pharmacy

One year as a licensed pharmacist with enhanced clinical responsibilities preferred

Current Missouri State license to practice professional pharmacy

Preferred:

Immunization Certification

Ambulatory Care Board Certification

Medication Therapy Management
