About the role:

The Manager, FP&A Central Eastern Europe, is responsible for leading and overseeing the team of FP&A professionals, covering the FP&A tasks for Region Central Eastern Europe and reports to the VP, Global FP&A.

Key responsibilities include preparing high-quality financial analyses and insights for business steering, delivering management reporting to key stakeholders, leading the MTP, budgeting and forecasting processes for Central Eastern Europe and offering ad-hoc support to the regional stakeholders. Additionally, the role involves in actively managing margins to supporting pricing and sales decisions, analyzing working capital performance, owning margin reconciliations and taking the lead in monitoring and driving regionally managed expenses.

The Manager, FP&A Central Eastern Europe acts as a promoter of Finance digitalization and standardization initiatives and enables the transition into a new finance operating model.

The scope of the role oversees:

  • Region Central Eastern Europe (chocolate)

  • Volume (FY23): 300k MT

  • Sales (NSV in FY23): 1bn CHF

  • Margins (NCM in FY23): 127m CHF

    Key responsibilities include

    FP&A Operational Excellence & Team Enablement:

    Responsible for leading the Central Eastern European FP&A team. Ensuring they are able to:

  • Prepare high-quality financial business performance analysis and insights to steer business for the region

  • Deliver management reporting to the Regional CFO, President, RLT and other regional stakeholders.

  • Drive active margin management and support FBPs, pricing and sales with insights to steer business decisions to achieve targets

  • Own margin reconciliation of the region (from pre-calc to P&L), in alignment with accounting, FP&A, Risk Management and other finance stakeholders

  • Perform commercial analysis and deliver insights to support execution of regional strategies

  • Monitor actual sales & marketing expenses against budget and provide variance analysis

  • Provide ad-hoc support for financial questions from regional management

    Planning, Forecasting and KPI Development:

  • Lead the planning process (MTP, budgeting, forecasting) for the region, including alignment with FP&A teams for GSS and GCA

  • Collaborate with senior leadership to define the required commercial and regions’ KPI’s, aligned with strategic objectives

  • Collaborate with Data Analytics and Governance and other FP&A teams to develop standardized reporting formats and frequency to provide timely insights to stakeholders.

    Working Capital Management:

  • Perform DSO analysis and deliver insights related to working capital improvements

  • Drive initiatives to improve working capital performance of the region. Support implementation of Supply Chain Financing in alignment with Group Treasury.

    Collaboration and Process Improvement:

  • Collaborate with the Data Analytics and Governance and other FP&A teams to leverage central tools and resources whenever possible, regularly review FP&A processes and systems to streamline workflows and enhance efficiency.

  • Stay updated on industry trends and technological advancements relevant to FP&A for continuous learning and development.

    About you:

  • Bachelor’s / Master’s in Finance, Accounting, Economics or similar

  • English business proficiency (written and spoken)

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in senior finance positions, or relevant experience at such level

  • Leadership skills in managing people and networking with various stakeholders in the company

  • Open minded and curious, eager to continuously learn and explore various aspects of finance

  • Analytical / hands-on / flexible but even more important very solution oriented and performance driven to achieve the targets

  • Knowledge about SAP, BW, as well as most common reporting and analytical tools

  • IFRS knowledge

  • Ability to influence and engage cross-functional stakeholders

  • Excellent analytical, quantitative and data visualization skills with a strong attention to detail

  • Curious mindset

  • Willingness to continuously optimize, improve; challenging status quo

  • High energy levels, speed, positive attitude

  • Willingness to operate in a fast-paced, intense environment with multiple stakeholders

  • Team player and ability to deal with stakeholders on all hierarchy levels

  • Hands-on approach

  • Outstanding communication skills

    Travel requirements: Approx. 5-10% of the time, mainly for RLT or functional meetings
