What you will be working on:

We are looking for a Director of Program Management to lead our team of Program Managers within the Vivint Technology (VT) Digital Experience team. As the Director of Program Management, your role is pivotal in ensuring the successful execution of programs. Your role is multifaceted, requiring a blend of strategic vision, flexibility, and leadership skills to drive successful program outcomes and contribute to the overall growth and success of your organization.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Define program objectives, scope, timelines, and resource requirements in collaboration with stakeholders + VT Product Managers, ensuring alignment with overall business goals.

  • Support the professional growth and development of program managers and team members, providing mentorship, training, and opportunities for advancement.

  • Maintain and improve program management best practices, processes, and methodologies to optimize program performance and delivery.

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product management, and design.

  • Monitor program performance against key metrics and milestones, identifying risks and issues proactively and implementing mitigation strategies as needed.

  • Serve as a key point of contact for stakeholders and leadership, providing regular updates on program status, risks, and opportunities.

  • Collaborate with VT Portfolio, Product Management, and engineering stakeholders to prioritize and allocate resources effectively, balancing competing demands and priorities across multiple programs and projects.

  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and excellence within the program management team and across the organization.

Required Skills:

  • Ability to craft clear and concise updates to the organization

  • Strong meeting facilitation, communication, and presentation skills

  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment

Required Experience:

  • 3+ years of software program management experience

  • Experience using Smartsheet, Jira, SharePoint

  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and agile development methodologies

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
