Job Brief The Pilot Plant Technician is responsible to provide quality process data as well as properly made products for testing; provide safety related evaluations and provide proper maintenance of process equipment and facilities.

What You'll Do As the Pilot Plant Technician, you will be responsible to provide quality process data as well as properly made products for testing; provide safety related evaluations and provide proper maintenance of process equipment and facilities to support external customers as administered and communicated by RandD Management. Other duties will include: * Perform routine and non routine operations related to making explosive and explosive precursor products as part of developing, improving or troubleshooting products and/or processes. * Operate, maintain and repair all process equipment and typical industrial power sources. * Collect and record process data. * Coordinate safety aspects of the pilot plant operations. * Supplying plants, customers and project team leaders with the necessary information to provide customers with explosives products safely, efficiently and in a timely manner. * Providing new and improved products, technology or processes within the Company's objectives by participating in scientific experiments which are critical to corporate product and process developments. * Demonstrating and encouraging a disciplined approach to compliance in all elements of the Company's policies, processes and procedures. * Contributing to the research efforts of the Company as directed by the Pilot Plant supervisor, RandD management and various project team leaders. * Perform physical characterizations and other scientific testing and development related to projects to support research and production activities in accordance with business objectives. * Consult with RandD scientists, engineering staff and field personnel, and perform testing as required to resolve technical issues and field problems. * Determine best process method to use in making test product for testing.

What We're Looking For: * HS grad or equivalent required.  Additional education related to mechanical, electrical or industrial processing is preferred; other disciplines /experience closely related to industrial chemical processing will be considered. * A minimum of 2 years industrial, chemical process or related process equipment experience is preferred. * Ability to operate, troubleshoot and repair a variety of power sources and motors or drive systems used in industrial operations, as well as mechanical systems, and other chemical conveyance systems, vehicles or other types of mobile equipment * Comprehension of chemical hazards * Experience with MS Office. * Must be willing to undergo and pass an ATF background check as required to be a possessor of explosives. * Must...
