This role will be a key partner in the continued growth and success of Dotdash Meredith's email, newsletter, SMS and browser notification programs. The role will be directly responsible for growing program revenues and revenue per subscription. The role will also lead and oversee a team responsible for our sweepstakes programs, email programs for advertisers, and strategies to grow our commerce business via email, newsletters, and SMS. They will collaborate closely with Audience Relationship Team leadership, vertical managers, brand and edit stakeholders, as well as ad product, revenue operations, commerce, production, product and design teams to create, grow and evolve all programs related to email monetization. This role requires a strong understanding of digital revenue streams, yield analysis, and growth strategies.

This role will partner closely with stakeholders to analyze performance, problem solve, and drive impactful business strategy and decisions. This role is part of our centralized Audience Relationship Team that serves as a center of excellence for providing email, newsletter, sweepstakes, notification and other programs to Dotdash Meredith's portfolio of brands. The Audience Relationship Team is focused on growing our email and newsletter programs with first-party data in order to develop meaningful relationships between people and our brands. This role will be the subject matter expert on monetization strategy and revenue trends for these programs.


The ideal candidate for this role will be a self-starter who is analytical and curious with the ability to leverage insights, continuously evaluate the performance of our programs, and identify opportunities for improvement to enhance subscriber value and revenue generation. This role must stay abreast of industry trends and best practices, integrating new techniques to enhance revenue growth and subscriber satisfaction. The successful candidate will combine their expertise in digital advertising and revenue analysis with a deep understanding of email and relationship marketing to drive impactful business outcomes and foster a strong connection between our brands and our audience.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Monitor, analyze and evaluate email program revenues, yield and monetization trends.

  • Identify opportunities to grow and optimize email revenues, revenues per subscription, and LTV.

  • Collect and synthesize data across sources to build and deliver reporting that tracks email related revenues.

  • Maintain a sharp understanding of established and emerging newsletter monetization trends, capabilities to identify growth and optimization opportunities.

  • Partner closely with revenue operations, ad product, sales and marketing to develop and sustain email, sweepstakes and newsletter solutions that deliver market leading value for advertisers.

  • Collaborate with revenue operations, programmatic teams, brand stakeholders and 3rd party partners to conduct A/B testing to optimize newsletter monetization.

  • Conducting A/B testing and audience segmentation to optimize email performance and revenue outcomes.

  • Developing and implementing innovative publishing strategies to maximize revenue opportunities across audience relationship channels (email, SMS, notifications)

  • Build predictive revenue and LTV models

  • Assist with process improvements and collaboration to grow revenue

  • Assist in setting priority and managing roadmaps for new consumer revenue strategies

Specific Skills and Knowledge

  • Experience in generating process documentation and reports

  • Excellent communication skills, with an ability to translate data into actionable insights for stakeholders

Pay Range

Salary: $105,000 - $145,000

The pay range above represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position and may change in the future. Actual pay may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to work location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Dotdash Meredith's total compensation package for employees.
