Who we are looking for:

An energetic individual to join the Failure Analysis lab and tackle some of the industry's most significant problems. You will be part of a cross-functional team concentrating on development, characterization, and failure analysis of next generation materials and products. You will be responsible for performing hands-on root cause failure analysis and in-depth characterizations using advanced analytical tools. And you will be responsible for recommending corrective action and conveying results to the multi-functional team and upper management.

What you will do:

  • To be successful in this role, you should have expertise with analyzing various materials including semiconductors, metals, ceramics and glass.

  • You should have a deep understanding of FIB, SEM and EDS analysis and fundamental failure analysis methodology

  • You can understand the advantages and limitations of FA tools to recommend the best course of action to determine root cause

  • You are adept at conveying complex data sets into a concise and understandable form

  • You have excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • This role deals with a high volume of activity. Being organized and detail-oriented will help you stay on top of the action

  • Outstanding problem solving abilities

  • Flexible and able to quickly change course to meet the needs of the business

What you will need:

We are looking for someone who resolves issues using creative ideas, has a strong electron microscopy background and a willingness to dive deep into sophisticated issues. You must have experience with scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS), and some experience with a wide variety of microscopy tools.

Education & Experience:

B.S., M.S. or PhD in Materials Science, Applied Physics or related discipline.
