Job Title: Maintenance Engineer

Job Description

As a Maintenance Engineer, you will work from verbal and written instructions, blueprints, and sketches to complete work orders and PM's. Your role will involve troubleshooting and diagnosing equipment and systems for emergency repairs. You will apply your skills, experiences, and general knowledge to a wide range of tasks to adjust, repair, disassemble, replace, and reassemble plant equipment. You will utilize hand tools and common powered hand and shop tools. Common equipment you will work on includes conveyors, injectors, vacuum packaging machines, and roll stock machines. Your work will be 80% reactive and 20% preventive maintenance.

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Lincoln, Nebraska.

Work Environment

The temperature is kept at 40 degrees with no offensive smell. You will be part of a team size of 10-15 per shift, reporting to the shift supervisor. The shift depends on the position, with options for Sunday - Wednesday or Wednesday - Saturday, 7am - 7pm for Utilities; 6:30am-4pm, 3:50pm - 1am, 10:30pm-7am for Traditional maintenance with overtime and Saturdays as needed; and 1st shift for Electrician with flexible hours. Dress code includes steel-toed boots (must be leather), provided uniforms, and under layers as needed. You will also wear apron, arm cover, gloves, plastic hats, and ear protection. Please note, painted nails, fake nails, and jewelry of any kind are not allowed.
