About the Role

You will be responsible for leading our Human Resources and National Service team. You will be

responsible for overseeing all human resources systems and policies, with a focus on

recruitment, onboarding, talent development, employee relations, engagement, benefits

administrations, and DEIB (diversity equity, inclusion, and belonging). You will also oversee

responsibilities for our AmeriCorps programs. You will be a strategic thinker with a hands-on

approach, capable of shaping and implementing policies and procedures that promote a

positive, inclusive culture and uphold the Guiding Principles.

What Youll Do

? Directly supervise a team, providing effective leadership, guidance, and mentoring to

drive organizational success and professional development

? Ensure Our Houses policies and procedures adhere to current employment laws and

regulations. Promote a safe and fair working environment by monitoring and

implementing applicable human resource federal and state requirements, conduct

investigations, maintaining historical and current records; representing the organization

at hearings, and responding to complaints and unemployment claims.

? Manage the National Service programs at Our House by ensuring compliance with

AmeriCorps rules and regulations, overseeing application, budget, agreements,

reporting, and other paperwork of AmeriCorps grants. Ensure that Our House operates

high-quality National Service programs

? Work with managers and leadership to forecast hiring needs, develop job descriptions,

and oversee the recruitment and onboarding process to attract and hire qualified

candidates

? Coordinate with the HR team to develop an effective onboarding program to help new

hires integrate into the company smoothly and successfully

? Work with Executive Director to develop and manage competitive compensation

strategies to attract, motivate, and retain employees

? Support current and future business needs by overseeing development and

implementation of comprehensive training programs to enhance team members skills

and performance. Also, create professional development programs to provide team

members with opportunities for growth that align with Our House objectives.

? Bridge management and employee relations by training managers to coach and correct

employees. Schedule management conferences with employees. Hear and resolve

employee disputes, grievances, or other issues.

? Implement strategies to boost employee engagement, including team-building

activities, feedback sessions, and recognition programs. Oversee an annual all-team

survey and coordinate management response. Proactively invest in promoting a positive

corporate culture that upholds the Guiding Principles and fosters high employee m orale.

? Manage employee benefits programs, study and assess benefit needs and trends,

recommending benefits programs, directing the processing of benefit claims, obtaining

and evaluating benefit contract bids, awarding benefit contracts, designing and

conducting educational programs on benefit programs. Provide information to

employees about their benefits, and address any related questions or concerns.

? Work with an employee committee to develop, implement, and monitor strategies and

programs that promote diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging in the workplace. This

includes ensuring that recruitment strategies attract a diverse pool of candidates.

? Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops;

reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in

professional societies
