Job Duties and Responsibilities

IT Technicians are responsible for handling tier 2 and higher problems including expert-level troubleshooting and analysis methods. Each technician is an expert in their field and is responsible for research and development of solutions to new or old issues. Each technician knows and applies the fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures related to computer hardware support in an enterprise environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot a variety of technical issues including software, hardware, and networking - with strong problem-solving abilities such as: active listening, analysis, research, creativity, communication, dependability, decision making, and team building, and can determine necessary handoffs for help/ escalation

  • Team player who has the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization

  • Provide a complete resolution of any issues beyond the scope of this role by collaborating with other teams; ability to research, deploy fixes, and troubleshoot logs

  • Resolve internal customer tasks and incident tickets in ServiceNow in a timely fashion, while providing great customer service

  • Excels in time management, and task prioritization, including daily tasks with minimal supervision

  • Verify functionality of hardware and manage workstations, printers, and other related equipment

  • Determine, identify, and troubleshoot technical problems relating to software and hardware solutions for end-users, including the installation and configuration of applications

  • Provide a complete "one-contact resolution" mindset for both generic "how to" questions and complex technical issues mostly in person, but occasionally through the use of phone, email/messaging, or video chat if necessary

  • Asset/Inventory management

  • Ability to use an entry-level scripting language (PowerShell)

  • Creates documentation for improved processes, new processes, fixes, and general information for the team and enterprise

  • Adapts quickly to changing circumstances, new standards, and requests by company management

  • Stays abreast of current trends and technology and makes recommendations that will help a company keep up with technology standards in the industry

  • This position will require a flexible shift and could be required to change your shift depending on needs

  • Works with executives and ensures all escalations are handled promptly

Skills, Experience and Requirements

Education and Experience:

  • 3 + years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong customer service skills; friendly, approachable, and motivated with a strong work ethic and good customer service skills; a team player who has the ability to work effectively with all levels of company personnel

  • Advanced troubleshooting skills including analyzing error reports and elevating to advanced fix teams as needed with minimal to no supervision.

  • Good analytical skills

  • Excellent oral and communication skills

  • Knowledge of current MacOSX, Windows 10, Google G-Suite, Windows Active Directory, iOS, Android, MS Office

Salary Ranges

Compensation: $25.17/Year - $32.31/Year

The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location. Candidates need to successfully complete a pre-employment screen, which may include a drug test and DMV check.
