Job Duties and Responsibilities

DISH Wireless seeks a Senior Manager of Network Security to oversee network security operations nationwide, focusing on the development of our 5G wireless infrastructure. This role entails managing a team responsible for implementing and engineering network security at scale. Key responsibilities include designing security controls for multi-VRF layer 2/3 network design, securing GPS timing, network routing, zero-touch device provisioning, capacity engineering, and connectivity to external parties. This position is pivotal to our strategic objectives, offering an opportunity to deploy and enhance cutting-edge networking solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and upkeep a multi-year strategic infrastructure plan encompassing long-term vision, technology roadmaps, goals, and objectives

  • Establish and update security engineering designs

  • Assist in validating, deploying, optimizing, and operating security solutions for both physical and virtual devices

  • Lead the testing and validation of new IP security services, feature enhancements, and bug fixes

  • Offer advanced technical leadership for complex project initiatives, including functional subsystem upgrades for critical network devices and strategic network enhancements

Skills, Experience and Requirements

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical/computer engineering preferred, or equivalent professional experience exceeding 10 years

  • Preferred certifications: CISSP, AWS-Certified Security, CISM, CCNA/CCNP/CCIE/JNCIE or equivalents

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Expertise in network security architecture, design, and engineering

  • Proficient in firewall, IDS/IPS systems, VPN connectivity design and implementation

  • Experience with carrier-class solutions, public cloud integration, and IP routing

  • Skilled in creating and enforcing network security policies, processes, and auditing

  • Hands-on experience in enterprise-level information security and PKI architecture

  • Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as PCI DSS, SOX, FIPS 140-2, NIST 800-53, NIST CSF, ISO 27000

  • Demonstrated leadership and management skills in guiding teams, fostering collaboration, and driving strategic initiatives

Salary Ranges

Compensation: $127,050.00/Year - $208,725.00/Year

The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location. Candidates need to successfully complete a pre-employment screen, which may include a drug test and DMV check.
