Description
We are offering a contract position as a Residential Loan Processor in the banking industry, based in Littleton, Massachusetts. As a Residential Loan Processor, your role will involve the careful handling of customer applications and the maintenance of accurate customer credit records. Additionally, you will be tasked with proactively monitoring customer accounts and taking the necessary actions in response.
Responsibilities:
• Accurately and efficiently process customer credit applications.
• Keep track of customer credit records, ensuring they are up-to-date and accurate.
• Manage customer inquiries and resolve them in a timely manner.
• Monitor customer accounts and respond appropriately to any changes.
• Review loan packages for completeness and potential issues, including undisclosed HELOC/2nd mortgage, fraud detection, and red flag alerts.
• Obtain necessary documentation as directed and ensure it is uploaded to the relevant systems.
• Send Initial Disclosure packages to borrowers in line with regulatory deadlines and prepare Rate Lock and Change of Circumstance disclosures when required.
• Respond promptly to inquiries from borrowers and third-party agents during the mortgage process.
• Analyze all documents to ensure loan packages are complete and accurate, checking for potential identity fraud.
• Track and collect documentation to ensure conditions are satisfied and submit to underwriting for final approval.
• Represent the organization professionally and provide quality service to members and internal customers, cross-selling products and services where applicable
Requirements • Minimum of 3 years experience as a Residential Loan Processor in a banking environment
• Proficiency in Automated Underwriting Systems
• Strong understanding of closing processes in the banking industry
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Proven ability to maintain compliance in all transactions and procedures
• Familiarity with Mortgage FHA (MFHA) processes and procedures
• Experience handling mortgage applications from start to finish
• In-depth knowledge of mortgage closing procedures
• Understanding of mortgage disclosure requirements
• Ability to handle various disclosures accurately and efficiently
• Experience preparing and reviewing closing disclosures
• Proven expertise in mortgage processing, with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
