Job Description
Day to Day:
Insight Global is looking for a Sr. Database Engineer to join the teams of one of its mid-level clients in the Insurance industry. This person can sit remote, and will be helping lead migration projects, and will be a integral part of the Database team. Candidate personality and team culture are highly prioritized for this position.
· Specific Responsibilities:
o Health checks
o Fixing issues
o Creating new databases
o Creating tables
o Working with SQL 2016, 2019, 2022
o Separating SQL clusters

Skills and Requirements
Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in related field of study
· 5+ of database engineering experience
o Specific expertise within SQL Architecture & Engineering
o Expertise with SQL, MySQL, & Postgres
o SQL farms
o Expertise with on-prem applications- engineering and architecture
· Prior migration experience from SQL 2012 to SQL 2016 or SQL 2019
· Some sort of cloud background/exposure
o Database experience
High Availability SQL Cluster experience Preferred:
· Background in Insurance domain
Specific AWS cloud exposure is preferred null
