AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. The AWS Global Support team interacts with leading companies and believes that world-class support is critical to customer success. AWS Support also partners with a global list of customers that are building mission-critical applications on top of AWS services.

This Generative AI Specialist Solution Architect role, within the newly formed EMEA Generative AI team, is to help drive & accelerate exponential Generative AI growth with EMEA customers by having deep data science knowledge, being able to leverage AWS tools, services and data science techniques to drive customer growth through Generative AI workloads and AWS GenAI revenue. You will be part of a pan-EMEA Generative AI team that will partner with EMEA wide field teams and specialists to amplify & roll out best practises & signals from customers. This will be done through a number of channels including accelerating POCs to production, engaging with customers via EBCs/Summits and helping to create an EMEA Generative AI center of excellence.

Key job responsibilities

  • Effectively use LLMs available to meet our customer's performance needs and accelerate customer opportuniites

  • Partner with EMEA field teams and specialists to unblock large impact customer opportunities

  • Thought Leadership through creation of use cases and demos unique to customers based on internal and external customer profiles

  • Advance organisational capabilities through a number of channels including, but not limited to, the creation of Generative AI apps to enhance internal tooling, creation of enablement content etc

  • Engage with customers via EBCs and summits to play back EMEA GenAI trends, industry use cases and the art of the possible (Center of Excellence)

  • Contribute towards resolution of weekly blockers/challenges from the field as they are raised through the EMEA GenAI WBR and other channels

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in technical discipline with technical design/implementation/ consulting experience and experience working with Generative AI Foundation models

  • Developing, negotiating and executing business agreements experience and experience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions at the organizational level

  • Business development, product management, management consulting, and strategic partnership experience and experience developing and executing on GTM strategies that are large in scope.

  • AWS Certification (e.g. AWS Solution Architect Associate/Professional)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience interpreting data and making business recommendations

  • Hands-on working knowledge of deep learning and other ML algorithms and infrastructure.

  • Pre-sales engineering, technical business development, strategic partnerships, or program/product management experience

  • Experience speaking at technology conferences, as well as communicating across the organization from technical staff to VP/CxOs.

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations is key in a matrix environment.
