Microsoft Corporation Lease Planning Program Manager - Data Center in London, United Kingdom

Microsoft Cloud Operations + Innovation (CO+I) is the engine that powers Microsoft's cloud services and our team is focused on delivering high quality infrastructure to support cloud operations. As Microsoft’s Cloud business continues to mature, our infrastructure expansion accelerates, and Datacenters are central to this growth. To support this, the acquisition and development of our owned, designed, and constructed Datacenter facilities will scale to meet the demands of our customers, while we also continue to lease and acquire Datacenter capacity at pace, particularly in our high growth markets, working closely with Datacenter operators in each region, and across the Globe.

The Leasing & Land Development (LLD) organization is looking for a Lease Planning Program Manager to provide guidance and insights on datacenter supply and demand for leased Datacenters. In the role, you will frame solutions to tough new problems in today’s complex Datacenter industry. You will develop and implement business-focused strategic insights from a variety of sources and work cross-functionally to present innovative solutions to stakeholders. A successful candidate will have a distinct business acumen coupled with deep data expertise to ensure recommendations and actions are supported by evidence and can be implemented to advance CO+I’s business goals.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Strategically analyze infrastructure growth and derive insights to shape multi-year growth roadmaps, aligning supply and demand strategies with infrastructure growth.

  • Engage with cross-functional teams to authenticate demand signals and comprehend demand drivers, ensuring market conditions are accurately reflected.

  • Collaborate with regional Site Acquisition teams to optimize DC growth across numerous markets.

  • Collaborate with the Global Lease Asset Management for proactive planning on asset renewals and expirations to drive informed decision making.

  • Apply strong project and program management expertise to streamline and accelerate projects through existing processes.

  • Actively gather, maintain, and analyze numerous data points such as business intelligence, market intelligence, and historical trends that will inform critical decision points for future growth.

  • Maintain and update inventory for supply and market intelligence.

  • Routinely review dashboards and tools to ensure data quality, consistency, and completeness.

  • Work closely with senior leaders to prepare executive-level presentations, reports, and briefings, clearly articulating complex business decisions into comprehensible concepts.

  • Perform ad hoc analyses as requested by executive stakeholders to address specific questions or concerns related to datacenter supply and demand.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Real Estate, Project Management, Supply Chain, or related field AND relevant experience

  • OR equivalent years of experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Exceptional program or product management skills.

  • Excellent communication skills to convey complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Proven experience in data analysis, data manipulation, and data visualization.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Strategic thinker and problem solver with excellent analytical and reporting skills.
